Three detained in shoe scam

The price tag just got higher for a pair of Air Jordans--jail time. Three Joliet guys were arrested in a ruse to steal gym shoes from a 15-year old boy. Bolingbrook Police were called at 8:51 p.m. June 16 to the CVS Pharmacy, 1725 W. Boughton Road for the report of a robbery. Officers could ascertain Jamie A. Muniz allegedly agreed to meet the 15-year-old lad in the parking lot of the CVS to exchange shoes (Air Jordans). As he promised to be a casualty, an officer was waved down by Muniz. Policemen also found the victim's shoes nearby. Upon further investigation, Williams and Hall were identified as the wrongdoers and Muniz's engagement.
